Who we are
Third Tab (thirdtab.co.uk) designs and builds websites, web applications and AI tools for UK businesses. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at hello@thirdtab.co.uk.
What we collect
When you request a free audit we collect the details you give us: your name, work email address, your current website (if you add one), the service you are interested in and any message you write.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data through the form.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to your request, prepare your audit and, if you ask, send you a quote. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to a business enquiry, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not add you to a marketing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to, and every marketing email would include a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the website and handle enquiries: Cloudflare (website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics) and our email and workflow tools, which deliver your request to our team. They process data only on our instructions.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can follow up on the conversation. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as needed for the work and our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or collect personal data to identify you, so no cookie banner is needed. Our servers keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Email us at the address above and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We will update this notice if how we use personal data changes. This version was last updated on 15 October 2026.
